Overview

BillMinder is a desktop app for tracking bills, payment dates, reminders, billing schedules, reports, and optional Google Calendar syncing. This policy explains what information BillMinder uses and why.

Information We Collect

BillMinder may store account information such as your email address, billing records you enter, workspace data, payment status, reminder settings, and app preferences. If you choose to use Google Calendar syncing, BillMinder uses Google authorization data to create, update, and delete calendar events for bill reminders. If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe processes payment information and provides BillMinder with subscription status and customer identifiers.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide account access, cloud sync, bill tracking, reminders, paid subscriptions, customer support, and Google Calendar syncing when you enable it. BillMinder does not sell your personal information or billing records for advertising.

Google Calendar Data

BillMinder uses Google Calendar access only when you choose to connect Google Calendar. The app creates, updates, and deletes bill reminder events based on billing information you enter. BillMinder does not use Google Calendar data for advertising and does not sell Google user data.

BillMinder's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide or improve user-facing BillMinder features that are visible in the app. BillMinder does not use Google user data for advertising, does not sell Google user data, and does not use Google user data to train generalized AI or machine learning models.

Data Protection and Security

BillMinder protects account, billing, workspace, and Google Calendar data using reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. Data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections where applicable. Account and workspace records are stored with access controls through BillMinder's configured service providers, and access is limited to authorized systems or personnel who need it to operate, support, secure, or troubleshoot the app.

OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, and related authorization records are treated as sensitive data. BillMinder uses them only to perform the Google Calendar actions you request, such as creating, updating, or deleting bill reminder events. BillMinder does not publicly expose your private billing records, calendar authorization data, or workspace data.

Payments

Payments and subscriptions are handled by Stripe. BillMinder does not store full card numbers. Stripe may collect and process payment details according to its own policies.

Data Sharing

BillMinder uses service providers including Supabase for account and app data, Stripe for payments, Google APIs for optional Calendar syncing, and email providers for support messages. We share data only as needed to operate these services, comply with law, prevent abuse, or protect the security of BillMinder and its users.

Data Deletion

You may request account or data deletion by contacting support. Some records may be retained if required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or payment records.
